Since the early 1970s, Bill Reidy has been singing the blues. He is deeply rooted in the sounds of Blues legends like Elmore James, Tampa Red, Muddy Waters, Blind Boy Fuller, Junior Wells, Big Bill Broonzy, Son House, Blind Willie Johnson and many others. He has performed in venues all over New England with several Blues bands, including Boston-based Highway 61 Band and The Delta Juke Stompers. As a solo acoustic Bluesman, Bill accompanies himself on bottleneck slide guitar, acoustic guitar and blues harp.
Bill covers traditional Blues songs from the 1920s up to the 1960s, including Delta Blues, Piedmont Blues, Country Blues and Old Time Gospel. In addition, he does his own acoustic versions of many Chicago Blues songs.
